 Notts County were Relegated from the Football League Second Division

 - The Football League ended its regionalised Third Division North and South and reverted to 2 national Divisions - the Third Division and Fourth Division, the North and South split its teams with the higher placed teams playing in the new Third Division and the bottom half placed teams were placed in the new Fourth Division.
